Michael Friedman is a Producer and Director for film and television. He is currently producing Yellowstone, created by Taylor Sheridan, which is the highest rated scripted show on television. He’s also producing Landman, Lioness and 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone for Paramount+. Recent projects include 1883 , Bass Reeves, Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone. In 2021, Warner Bros released ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’, which stars Angelina Jolie and which he also produced with Sheridan.
Yellowstone, Season 1
Michael started his career as a production executive at Showtime Networks, where he supervised physical production for over forty films, including the directorial debut of Maya Angelou in the film, Down in the Delta. Then, for fifteen years, he produced and edited unscripted television. He produced The Hills, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Editing credits include The Amazing Race, for which he earned a Primetime Emmy Award.
